The People's Transition Roscommon Farmers: Implementation of Community-Led Development for Climate Justice
The People's Transition for Roscommon Farmers: beginning in December 2022, the intention of the project was to listen, and learn from, the needs and abilities of farmers in Roscommon and then attempt to design a number of solutions that would benefit farmers in the county.
What we heard: farming is central to the economic and social life of County Roscommon; farmers do not feel they are making a livable income; there is a sense that farmers are being disproportionately blamed for climate change in Ireland.
