Football for Climate Justice Research Report
24 October 2023
How can football clubs support climate action that is good for the fans, their communities, and the planet?
Authored by Bohemian Football Club and drawing on the expertise of Football for Climate Justice project partners, this report explores what clubs are already doing to tackle climate change and asks how such initiatives could involve a social dimension. It further highlights the opportunity for clubs to empower communities to lead the transition process, not simply participate in it.
The Football for Climate Justice project is in international collaboration including Bohemian FC, Club Brugge KV, FC St. Pauli, FC Twente, Ferencvárosi TC, FUNDACIÓN LaLiga, Real Betis Balompié, SV Werder Bremen, the Think-tank for Action on Social Change (TASC), and the European Football for Development Network (EFDN).
