Border Transition: Building Peace through Community-Led Climate Action
21 November 2022
The Border Transition project began in January 2022 and was delivered by the Irish Central Border Area Network (ICBAN) and the Think-tank for Action on Social Change (TASC), working with the communities of the Lough MacNean area which traverses Cavan, Fermanagh and Leitrim. Enabled by the Department of Foreign Affairs as a peace and reconciliation response with support from the Reconciliation Fund, the intention of the project was to listen to, and learn from, the community’s needs and abilities in the Lough MacNean area and then begin to identify climate solutions that could address a number of the main development priorities of the community.
