IRC funding for TASC through New Foundation Grant
Marketisation of home care in rural and urban settings
This project is funded by the Irish Research Council through New Foundations Grant Scheme.
The project examines home carers’ working conditions in Ireland. COVID-19 has highlighted many long standing, structural issues with employment conditions in the home care sector and this project seeks to explore them. It will provide key evidence for Ireland’s major health reform (Sláintecare), which seeks to support home care to alleviate pressure on hospitals as the population is ageing. The project will also inform policy debate in relation to home care as new ideas and a change of direction become more accepted ‘post COVID’.
