TASC's climate researcher Kieran speaking about The People’s Transition Enniscorthy
TASC’s senior researcher in climate justice, Kieran Harrahill, recently participated in a podcast where he spoke about the People’s Transition initiative led by TASC. The People’s Transition aims to support community-led local development for climate justice. At the heart of the People’s Transition is to understand the challenges facing communities across Ireland and how climate action can help improve quality of life. The People’s Transition is a participative decision-making model developed by TASC that views climate action as an enabler of local development. Over the next three years, TASC, with the backing of AIB, will engage with 30 communities across the island of Ireland to support community-led local development, community ownership and community wealth building. In the podcast, Kieran spoke about his experience of working with community members in Enniscorthy, the first community where the People’s Transition is being applied as part of this 3-year initiative.
